MD Pool Rescue is locally owned and operated by Mike Dunbar and Danny Perez , specializing in

routine maintenance, safety, and preventative pool care. We’re known for our reliability, clear communication, and expertise in chlorine and saltwater pools, green-to-cleans, repairs, upgrades, and more.

We are both Certified Pool Operators (CPO), certified in residential pool chemistry, and licensed and insured through the Los Angeles County Health Department. As members of UPA 90 Beach Cities, we stay current on the latest equipment and safety protocols.

Mike Dunbar

Mike Dunbar, is one of the owners of MD Pool Rescue. Growing up in Palos Verdes, California. Mike brings a unique blend of experience to the pool industry. Before entering the pool business, Mike worked as an Emergency Medical Technician responding to 911 calls with the LA County Fire Department, and also gained valuable experience in hospitality management at a prestigious 5 star 5 diamond resort.

Mike is a seasoned professional with 7 years of experience in the pool industry. Specializing in advanced water chemistry, repairs, and installations. His commitment to excellence guarantees clients receive superior service, ensuring their pools are maintained for optimal performance and safety. Mike has earned a reputation for his attention to detail and dedication to customer satisfaction.

Mike is fully licensed by the LA County Health Department in water chemistry and holds several important certifications, including Residential Pool Chemistry and Certified Pool Operator.

Co-Owner | Pool Technician & operator of MD Pool Rescue

Born and raised in Atwater Village but spent 16 years servicing the all the great Southbay communities in the ambulance sector, as an EMT and Dispatcher along with Co-Owner Mike Dunbar. He honed his skills in supervision, management and customer service before transitioning to the pool industry. Danny, a dedicated pool industry professional, has spent the last 5 years immersing himself in all aspects of pool service, ensuring his clients receive the highest quality support.

He is certified by the LA County Health Department, as well as being a Certified Pool Operator and Certified Residential Pool Chemistry expert. Danny has also earned his credentials as a Start-up Tech from the National Plasterers Council (NPC). His commitment to excellence includes extensive training with industry leaders such as Pentair, Hayward, Jandy, Raypak, and Aquastar.

With a focus on consistency and communication, Danny is passionate about delivering exceptional service and is continually seeking to expand his knowledge to benefit his clients. Committed to keeping pool water clear and safe all year-round for clients to enjoy at any time.
